Cell Broadcast System (CBS) Basic Operator Course

The Cell Broadcast System (CBS) Basic Operator Course starts with an overview of the CBS. In the half-day overview, the major functionality and possibilities of the product are described. There will be also a focus on the road map and vision of Acision towards the market with respect to this specific product.
The remainder of the course provides in-depth knowledge about the Cell Broadcast Framework, the CBS environment, the CBS Software architecture, the interfaces with the mobile network and the user interfaces. Many hands-on exercises are an important part of the training.

Objectives
After the course, participants are able to manage, maintain, configure and optimize the Cell Broadcast Centre. They understand or know amongst others:
- the basic functionality and optional features of Acision’s CBS
- possible Cell Broadcast services that can be defined the components the system is made of the operator procedures like starting/stopping the system,
- the operator and maintenance features of the system
- configuring and fine-tuning the system's administration
Intended audience
This training course is intended for operators, network operators and first line support staff, who are involved with the Cell Broadcast System. The course is not intended for Content Providers of the Cell Broadcast System.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of telecommunications, Unix and OSI is required.
