Hosted Services

In a fast converging world, messaging and data services are providing opportunities for mobile operators and service providers to increase their revenues from both existing and new customers. Those that focus on these customers and successfully differentiate themselves from the competition by bringing new services to market, quickly, will be in the best position to succeed.

In traditional business models ensuring that new messaging and data services get to market quickly and are sustained by high quality of service requires significant up front investments in both hardware and software. If service uptake is slow it may be some time before there is a meaningful return on these investments.

Acision offers hosted services as a way to introduce new services fast, without the normal up front investment and without the risk of slow service uptake. As the operational costs for these services are low thanks to economies of scale, even existing core services can be outsourced this way.

Acision offers a broad range of hosted services in core areas such as voicemail, SMS, and MMS. These are based on Acision’s carrier grade solutions deployed by over 300 network operators around the world and handle over half of today’s text and multimedia messages. In addition to the core services, Acision offers a wide range of innovative services such as Instant Messaging and Presence, Speed Browsing, Music Portal, Mobile Device Management and IP Videomail. Network operators and service providers can choose which of these services best suit their strategic plans and deploy them very quickly.

The pricing model for Acision’s Hosted Services is subscriber, transaction, or volume based depending on the service and in line with most network operators’ and service providers’ end user pricing models. This enables them to directly relate the services costs to the revenues in their business models. Higher levels of committed usage will have a lower price per unit. This minimises the financial risk for new services but also ensures that margins will grow as services uptake increases.
