[Acision] has been chosen by Qtel, the telecommunications provider for the state of Qatar, to provide its new Short Messaging Service Centre (SMSC) platform to improve messaging experience, and a payments engine (PSA), to enable pre-paid SMS roaming.
Qtel executive director for wireless services, Sheikh Fahad Bin Jassim Al Thani, commented: “[Acision] has an excellent reputation in the Middle East and is the leading messaging specialist globally. Therefore we naturally wanted to work with a company with proven expertise in delivering robust platforms which can cope with heavy traffic.”
