As Acision's Executive Chairman, Didier Bench provides strategic direction on the evolution and vision of the company, as it enhances its position in enterprise services and strengthens its leadership role in mobile messaging, business analytics and commercial mobile services.
As a digital media veteran, Didier has a wealth of business development expertise and has been influential in steering the organisation as it executes on its strategy to increase its value in the mobile ecosystem by effectively leveraging existing and new market opportunities in mobile messaging services, while maximising its drive for fast profitability and growth. He has been instrumental in driving Acision as it delivers new services to operators and enterprises globally and bridges the digital media and mobile divide.
Didier has over 25 years of global leadership experience in the development of international technology companies and investment funds across worldwide markets. Prior to Acision, Didier was a senior advisor at Silver Lake, the largest private investment firm in digital media and technology, where he focused on the firm’s middle market strategy. Throughout his career, he has held senior management positions with several software companies, successfully turning them into major players, including roles as Chairman and CEO of Cartesis and iMediation and Vice President and General Manager of Netscape EMEA.
As an investor, Didier was formerly Senior Partner for CDP Technology Ventures, a Canadian private equity fund operating in North American and European markets. Didier holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Paris VII University and a master’s degree in marketing and finance from Paris X University.
As Chief Executive at Acision, the global leader in mobile messaging, Adolfo Hernandez is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the company to ensure Acision can capitalise on the growing opportunities in the mobile market, while boosting customer engagement, influencing its sales efforts, striving for operational excellence and inspiring innovation, as well as steering the company’s product portfolio in line with market drivers.
Prior to Acision, Adolfo spent four years at Alcatel-Lucent (EPA:ALU), with his most recent position being Executive Vice President, Global Software Services and Solutions, where he was also an instrumental member of the Executive Committee, reporting to the Group CEO. In this role, Adolfo was responsible for all of Alcatel-Lucent’s software application solutions and services business globally, and headed up their strategic industry domains across utilities, transportation and government managing support, operational, professional and consulting services teams.
Adolfo also held senior management roles at Sun Microsystems, Inc (NASDAQ: SUNW), where he was responsible for all aspects of its services business around the world. He also spent eight years with IBM (NYSE:IBM) in London and Munich where he held a variety of sales leadership positions in the areas of eBusiness and Open Systems.
Chief Financial Officer
As chief financial officer, Karen Griffiths is responsible for corporate finance and ICT functions at Acision.
With over 30 years experience, Karen has a wealth of knowledge in both finance and senior management roles, having operated at CFO, SVP and Finance Director levels. Karen completed 18 years at The Coca-Cola Company where her responsibilities included financial leadership for manufacturing and logistics of concentrate supply, as well as financial shared services for The Coca-Cola Company revenue stream in Europe.
Prior to her appointment at Acision, Karen held the position of SVP & CFO Europe, at technology distribution company, Ingram Micro, and was responsible for 15 countries and centres of excellence in treasury, M&A, as well as tax and credit reporting. Karen also worked as an independent consultant developing and delivering leadership, finance and change management programmes for executives across Europe and the Middle East.
Chief Marketing Officer & EVP Strategy
As Chief Marketing Officer and EVP Strategy, JF Sullivan oversees Acision’s global marketing functions, including strategic, corporate and product marketing. In addition, JF is responsible for shaping the Acision strategy, priorities, and giving guidance to the investment within our three core business areas; Messaging Infrastructure, Consumer Services and Rich Engagement Services. The team ensures that the company has an in-depth understanding of market trends, while overseeing all marketing activity and building on our leadership and brand position to create awareness of products and customer demand.
Having worked in marketing roles across the IT and telecoms industries for over 20 years, JF has a proven track record in managing marketing teams to deliver ‘go to market’ programmes, creative collateral, lead generation initiatives, channel marketing, as well as web development and enablement.
Prior to Acision, JF held senior marketing roles at a number of mobile and digital-media focused companies, including Cloudmark, Lotus Communications and Netscape Communications. His most recent role was at eleven, a leading email security service in Germany, where he held the position of VP Marketing, responsible for the company’s overall marketing strategy and go to market propositions.
EVP Business Operations
As the EVP Business Operations, Jon takes a holistic approach to drive and transform Acision’s business management and change improvement initiatives, while ensuring sales excellence and customer satisfaction. Jon utilises Acision’s core strengths, to ensure the delivery of the company-wide objectives that are driven are fully aligned and agile, so as to achieve measurable improvements and sustainable growth.
Prior to Acision, Jon held senior roles across Europe at Alcatel Lucent and Sun Microsystems, leading the charge for global business operations, transformation and sales excellence.
EVP Messaging Infrastructure
Jim leads the team responsible for our extensive portfolio of best-of-breed messaging infrastructure products, which help our customers unlock and protect the full potential of their mobile communication channels, while supporting the evolution to LTE 4G services and accelerating return on investment. Acision's messaging strategy is focused on providing the broadest range of innovative messaging solutions and services, which can maximise the profitability of existing messaging infrastructure and, at the same time, support mobile operators' own communication strategy as they evolve to faster IP networks.
Jim will drive greater integration and innovation within the teams, to deliver superior quality products to market faster and to enhance the companies competitive advantage within the industry.
Prior to Acision, Jim Saunders held the role Global Head of Capital Market Product Development at Misys, responsible for 600+ employees across the globe and leading the development of their four flagship products. He moved into this role from Thomson Reuters RISK business, when it merged with Misys in 2012. Before that, Jim held product development and senior management positions at Cartesis, America Online and Netscape Communications.
EVP Consumer Services
Nicolas is responsible for Acision’s Consumer Services division, which largely leverages its Messaging Infrastructure business, offering quickly deployable value added mobile monetisation solutions and applications to MNOs. Taking ownership of the untapped "low credit" markets, Acision has built industry-leading solutions designed to take advantage of global mobile subscribers who are on pre-paid contracts and can run out of credit. To date, Acision has launched these solutions successfully in several geographies around the world, and continues to thrive in emerging markets, as the company incorporates cross-carrier and border connection solutions as part of this portfolio.
With 15+ years experience in the digital technology and telecoms area, Nicolas has been involved in several start-up businesses prior to Acision. Nicolas has a business degree from the European Business School of Paris, and graduated in business law from the University of “la Sorbonne”.
EVP Rich Engagement Services
As the Head of Rich Engagement Services at Acision, Eric drives the business unit strategy and business development activities focused on creating solutions which enable operators, enterprises, and developers to offer innovative, rich, secure, and reliable customer engagement services to the markets they serve.
Eric has an exemplary history of over 20 years’ experience in management roles within the online, mobile services and technology industry. For seven years, he held various roles at IT services and consulting company, Cap Gemini, before leading the Professional Services team at Netscape Communications in Southern Europe, where he architected large-scale ISP infrastructures and e-business projects for some of the world’s leading operators. Most recently, Eric was Senior Director, Engineering, at Qualcomm where he was responsible for innovation at Qualcomm Labs.
Prior to Qualcomm, Eric was CTO, executive VP and co-founder of MFORMA/Handson, an entertainment, gaming wireless application publisher.
EVP Channels & Alliances
As a seasoned executive with 25+ years’ experience in management roles in Telecommunications, IT and Professional Services, Vladimir is responsible for building and developing a new global Channels and Alliances Strategy to complement and enhance Acision’s current sales drive, and in doing so develop new business growth and profitable revenue.
In this role, Vlad will work with Regional Sales and Product teams to identify suitable partner and channels to market, and establish and agree the business case, develop plans, and execute against these plans in line with the strategy of the region and overall business. He will also establish and manage the on-going relationships with key channels and alliances organisations and cultivate new relationships to facilitate this business stream in order to sell and market indirectly, supporting our mission to be a leading mobile services company worldwide.
Vlad joins Acision from TOA Technologies, Inc., a global mobile workforce management company, where he held the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager EMEA. Responsible for all aspects of business and operations management, including sales, marketing, account management and customer operations, he was a key player in restructuring the organisation and developing a direct and indirect sales channel building alliances with partners including Accenture, Cap Gemini, CGI (Logica), Deloitte, Ericsson, salesforce.com and Zensar. Prior to that he was at MetraTech Corp., the rating, billing and customer self-care management company, where he was EVP, Global Sales, Marketing and Business Development.
EVP Human Resources
As EVP of Human Resources, Janet Turner is responsible for the provision of HR services, employee engagement and career development at Acision.
Janet has a wealth of experience within the field of human resources with a strong emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. Janet was involved with two of the biggest mergers in the IT industry, Digital/Compaq and Compaq/HP before leading the HR function at Acision through the de-merger from Logica.
